This page tells you the terms and conditions on which we are willing to grant to you a non-exclusive terminable licence to use our Walk to School and Strider registered trade marks with the straplines as set out and downloaded from our website (the “Trade Marks”). These terms and conditions do not grant a licence to use any of other trade marks whether registered or not. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our Trade Marks. You should understand that by using our Trade Marks you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
Please click on the button marked "I accept these terms and conditions" if you accept them. Please understand that if you refuse to accept these terms and conditions, you will not be able to use our Trade Marks.
The Walk to School and WoW logos may only be used by you with the straplines as downloaded from our website, therefore our Walk to School logo is only to be used with the “A Living Streets Campaign” strapline and the Strider logo is to be used only with the “WoW” strapline. The Trade Marks must be used in exactly the same form and colour as downloaded from our website and must not be modified in any way except to reduce or increase its overall size provided that this does not distort the image in any way.
In consideration of us granting you a licence to use our Trade Marks you agree to use the Trade Marks to promote walking to school and/or our Walk to School campaign and not for any other purpose and that our Trade Marks may only be used:
- on your website, in your online articles or blogs, in online links to our website;
- in your own e-newsletters, newsletters or letters to parents;
- in presentations about walking to school or our campaign;
- on internal displays, notice boards and or display boards in school;
- in official documents such as Sustainable School Travel and Transport Strategy or your School prospectus;
- in the press or media provided that our prior written consent has been given (please contact our press officer: anna.powell@livingstreets.org.uk)
and may not be used for any other purpose including any:
- merchandise, in particular any merchandise that our Walk to School campaign already provides - examples (but not limited to) include: wallcharts, walking diaries, postcards, bags, stickers etc. or any resources which compete with existing brand/resources or undermines our current Intellectual Property;
- similar initiatives to WoW, which are in direct competition including local WoW schemes;
- commercial activities or by private companies (unless a partnership with you has been agreed in writing beforehand);
- letterhead;
- surveys except with our written permission;
- bespoke products except without express permission from Living Streets.

By using the Trade Marks you agree:
- not to use any other trade marks confusingly similar to our Trade Marks and shall not use the Trade Marks or anything confusingly similar as part of your own trade name or commercial set up;
- to comply with all our reasonable instructions in relation to the form, manner and application of the Trade Marks;
- not to do, or omit to do, or permit to be done, any act which will or may weaken, damage or be detrimental to the Trade Marks or the reputation or goodwill associated with the Trade Mark or with us;
- that we will not be liable to you, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any costs, expenses, loss or damage arising from the exercise by you of the rights granted under this licence;
- to support the behaviour change goals of the campaign, specifically persuading children to engage in regular walking;
- to accept that being part of this campaign does not entitle you to claim that we endorse your product or services in any way;
- to support us and on request, to provide feedback or case studies of your campaign activity;
- to acknowledge that we own and retains all rights to the Trade Marks and all other trade marks owned by us including the idea, brand, brand tools and key campaign messages
- to avoid bringing the campaign into disrepute
- to accept that should disputes arise concerning compliance with the campaign terms for local supporters, the brand guidelines, appropriate use of brand/messaging or your association with the campaign these will be adjudicated by us which will have final jurisdiction.
We may terminate this licence immediately at any time for any reason by giving you notice to your last known email address or by writing to you at your last known address. On termination of this licence you shall cease to use the Trade Marks and will destroy all materials containing the Trade Marks
