Honey Badgers@ Cramlington Learning Village

12 January 2011

Hi everyone. We're the Honey Badgers and we meet every Wednesday at Cramlington Learning Village. We do all sort of things together, like days out and now this - Step Up! Here's a quick intro to the team (pictures and mpre team members info to come soon):

I'm Callum and I'm 14. I like playing action games on my x-box and support Liverpool FC. I think that walking to school whenever possible is massively important as it keeps you fit.

I'm Richard and I'm 13. I like playing on my PS3, going to the park with friends and watching films like Austin Powers. I think walking to school is important and can give you time to socialise with your friends.

I'm Beth and I'm 15. I like playing with my 2 dogs Tyler and Tigger and horseriding - in fact I like all animals. I think keeping fit and healthy is one of the most important benefits of walking to school.

I'm Rebecca and I'm 14. I like playing on my Nintendo DS, playing with my cat fluffly and with my sister Mary. I think saving money (on bus fares or petrol) is a really good reason to walk to school.

Watch this space for our team photos as well as info on our other team members, Kimberley and Callum.

We have already started planning our project and are going to make an animation or film to make sure everyone in our school knows about the benefits of walking to school. We hope it will encourage more students to walk at least a little bit of the way if not all the way, so they get some exercise, have time to socialise before school starts, save some money and help to protect the environment by not relying so much on cars and buses. As soon as we have raised some money to work with a prfessional filmmaker we will be back in touch to let you know how it's going.
