Previous Coverage
As more and more children get involved in the Walk to School Campaign, we’ve been receiving a lot of support in the media.
During Walk to School Week in May, we achieved a record amount of press, featuring on Radio 4’s Today Programme, GMTV, on the BBC News website as well as in the Telegraph, The Times, Daily Express, UK Parent’s Lounge, the Big Issue and the Scotsman and many regional newspapers and magazines.
We were the first to comment on research into how children’s stress levels reduce when walking to school in the Daily Mail and have continued to comment on the latest statistics about the number of children walking to school.
More recently we have been calling for car exclusion zones around schools as children return for a new academic year with coverage on BBC Scotland, BBC Three Counties, BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, BBC Newcastle, United Christian Broadcasting and others.
