The designs for the WoW badges have been inspired by the winning entries from a drawing competition held earlier in 2009. There are 11 badges (one for each month of the academic year, August excluded) and each features a plant or creature from the wildlife of the UK. Badges are printed aluminium and mounted on a safety pin fixing.
