Safer Journeys Guide

Safer School Journeys

Safer School Journeys

A Do It Yourself Guide to Assessing the Route to School for Children and their Carers.

This guide is aimed at all members of the school community: children and their adult carers, the school's head teacher or school travel champion, parent/teacher associations and school governors. It is designed to help them audit the children's routes to school and identify features of the street environment that inhibit adult carers from allowing their children to walk to school.

It provides those carrying out the audits with guidance on how to use the results of the audit, and how to assist the local authority prepare bids for funding to remedy the problems.

Please note this document features our old logo and identity, but this does not detract from its content.
