Don't let the weather put you off walking!

Tuesday 3 January 2012

Today is the first day back at school for many... and what weather we have come back to!

But does the weather actually make a difference to how you travel to school? We asked this question in last month's poll and received a mixed response. 46 per cent said that they sometimes decided not to walk if the weather was bad, but almost as many (39 per cent) said that the weather made no difference to whether they walked or not. The remainder stated that they only walked if it was really good weather.

Walking in wind, rain and even snow can often be just as much fun (if not more) as walking in glorious sunshine. So, wrap up warm, pack your umbrella and keep up your walking this winter!

Living Streets' Mince Pie Calculator is still up and running so the adults can work off some of their Christmas excesses too!
