Back to news listing2011 Badge Design Competition Awards Held!
Thursday 7 July 2011
After receiving over 1800 entries, which was a record, and several rounds of judging, 23 June was finally upon us and our eleven winners of the WoW badge design competition came to London for an awards ceremony.
Our winners, who were aged between five and eleven, were the first to see how their badge designs have been developed from drawings through to designs that will be worn by children across the country this coming year around the theme of Sport. They each received a special trophy and enjoyed a day out in London at the London Transport Museum.
Huge thanks go to Transport for London, who helped judge the competition, and hosted the awards at their fantastic offices in central London. Present at the ceremony were the winners’ families and teachers, representatives from their Local Authorities, the judging panel, and our design team from Bite CP.

Once again, a huge congratulations to all our winners from the Living Streets Walk to School Team.

WoW (Walk Once a Week) is our most popular scheme - children who walk at least once a week are rewarded with a highly collectable monthly pin badge.
